Alison Ayers -

Ali graduated from Gold West High School in 2005 where she was a part of the Varsity Swim Team for 4 years and Varsity Water Polo Team for 3 years. Her senior year she received All-American in both sports. After high school she swam for the College of Sequoia's where she was captain for 2 years. She went on to Merced College to play water polo in 2007 and 2008. She was MVP, first team all league and Captain in 2008.
Ali has been back in Visalia since the beginning of 2009 where she has assistant coached Golden West Women's Water Polo and College of Sequoias Swim Team. She now works for Resource Lenders in Visalia and continues to go to school to become a physical therapist for children.
Ali began her swimming career at the age of five for the Visalia Seahawks and started coaching as a C.I.T. at the age of 11. This is going to be her second year as Head Coach of the Waves Swim Team and super excited have another great year with all the kids.

Thomas Brown

Thomas just graduated from El Diamonte High School as the class of 2011. This is going to be his 13th year swimming for the Waves and his second year being an assistant coach. Not only has he been swimming for the Waves, but he has also been competing in club swimming as well for the last 5 years.
Thomas has also been on the Varsity Swim Team at El Diamonte all for years. Thomas is surrounded by loving and supportive parents and siblings and is very blessed to have them in his life. Thomas loves being around kids and he thinks they are all awesome. He is looking forward to having another fun and successful season as a Wave.
Breanne Kalmink

Breanne has been a Wave since she was 8 years old. She swam every year until the last year of the 15-18 girls age group.
She was on varsity swimming all 4 years of High school and is a part of all three relay records at CVC. She is butterflyer and had to follow in her older sister's footsteps by breaking her 100 Fly record at the League Championship meet where CVC won its first League Championship in the school's history.
This past season, she also swam for the COS swim team where she made many new friends and found out what it meant to be an intercollegiate athlete. Breanne is currently a Sophomore at COS and is studying music. She plans to transfer by fall of 2012 with her Associates in Music and wants to go to a private Christian university somewhere down south. She is looking forward to a new season with all the kids and families and can't wait to kick it off with a bang. Go Waves!
Brianna Metzner

This is Bri's third year coaching for the Waves and her tenth year to be competing as a Wave swimmer. Bri is graduating from Mt. Whitney High School this year as the class of 2011.
She is planning on attending Westmont College in the fall in hopes to become a doctor. Bri is super excited to be apart of this year's swim team and can't wait to see the improvements of all the kids as she coaches them!

Brian Ruby

This is Brian's first year as a Waves coach. He graduated from Redwood High School in 2006 where he played water polo and swam on the swim team. Brian also coaches the Junior Varsity Water Polo girls team for Golden West High School. He has always loved being around the pool, but also enjoys his time on the basketball court as well. Brian has a wonderful son named Wyatt and does everything for his family. He is very happy to be a part of the the Waves Swim Team and can't wait to teach kids and have a fun-filled season with them. GO WAVES!!
Cynthia Tiemersma

Cynthia is back for her 6th year of coaching for the Waves. She just finished her junior year of college at Dordt College in Sioux Center Iowa, where she is majoring in Agriculture and Biotechnology.
Cynthia started competitively swimming when she was nine years old. In high school, she swam for the Central Valley Christian swim team where she was named MVP and went to Valley Finals her sophomore, junior, and senior years.
This summer Cynthia will be in the pool nearly 24/7 teaching swim lessons and coaching swimming. If she happens to start growing gills, you'll know why. Cynthia loves teaching kids how to swim and coaching her 6 and under girls. Seeing them improve throughout the season and encouraging them along the way has become one of her greatest joys. She's looking forward to a great season with friends from past years and making new friends. Go Waves!
Katy Weaver

This is Katy's fourth year coaching with the Waves and she is excited to be back! She has been with the Waves since she was six years old and has loved every minute of it!
Katy graduated from El Diamante in 2009, where she was a part of the varsity swim and water polo teams all four years. She now attends Cal State Stanislaus and just completed her second year. Katy is majoring in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Geography. She hopes to become a 3rd grade teacher.
She is looking forward to a summer packed full of swimming and fun! Go Waves! :)
