President:
Oversees all organizational operations. Acts as meet director at home meets or delegates the responsibility. Prepares Board Meeting Agenda. Organizes Parent Meeting and makes sure all parent jobs are assigned.

Maintains the teams financial records and cash requirements. Maintains checking account, makes deposits, pays team bills (including all league dues and insurance) and reimbursements, documents and provides a trail for all money transactions. Gets cash boxes ready for concessions and apparel sales.

Head Computers:
Oversees all data entry and disbursal of results. Submits team list to opposing teams. Submits results to website coordinator, CVRSL, and opposing team. Supervises Runners and other computer assistants. Provide Line up Coordinator with number list for each meet.

Head Timer:
To organize and coordinate all timers needed for each meet. To make sure all timing equipment are set-up and in good working order prior to all home meets.

Head Line-up (Clerk of Course):
Coordinates all age group line up volunteers and coaches to make sure kids are lined up properly before each event. Responsible for keeping all notebooks and getting them to the meets. Makes sure volunteers are in place to mark all kids prior to beginning of the meet. Obtain number lists from Computers.

Head Stroke & Turn:
Judges the legality of the swimmer's strokes and verifies that each swimmer properly and legally touches the end of the pool. Prepares disqualification cards as necessary. Training required.

Ribbons:
Order, Label, and/or disburse all ribbons according to the ranking of the swimmers for all meets, time-trials, and finals.

Awards and Incentives:
Coordinate small gift items for weekly incentives. Coordinate all awards for for year end awards/family swim night. Coordinates collection and purchase for all coaches gifts for each age group.

Fundraising:
Coordinate fundraising as needed to cover all expenses that arise from running a team sport. Coordinate with Communications and Merchandising. Provide a report as needed for the board.

Merchandising/Apparel:
Coordinate with designer to create items to sell including swim suits, annual shirts, and concessions (non-food items). Items are also used as incentives and coach gifts. Make sure apparel booth is covered for all home meets. Position coordinates with Communications and Fundraising. Document all inventory, costs, and revenue.

Non-Board Position Descriptions

Starter:
Announces and starts each heat of the meet. Judges fairness of each start.

Announcer:
Announces all upcoming heats, results, and information to attendees.

Timers:
This job is essential but not difficult. For each meet (home and away) we need to provide timers for the lanes. Some timers will use stopwatches, others will use the direct link time button. We need parents in two shifts (Early for 8 and unders & Later for older kids)

Recorders:
This job is essential but not difficult. For each meet (home and away) we need to provide recorders. For the lane you are recording you write down the Kid's initials and the time from the stop watch. Give the slip to the runner for each event. We need parents in two shifts (Early for 8 and unders & Later for older kids)

Runners:
Pick up the lane slips from each lane/event and give them to the computer station. We need parents in two shifts (Early for 8 and unders & Later for older kids)

Ribbon Assistants:
Follow the instructions of the Ribbon Coordinator to label each ribbon with the proper name and event. We need parents in two shifts (Early for 8 and unders & Later for older kids)

Fundraising Assistants:
Work with Fundraising Coordinator to plan and implement fundraising events. Collect all funds. This year we would like one parent from each age group to be in charge of a fun booth for our Parent/FUN Night.

Merchandising/Apparel Assistants:
Assist with inventory and sales of all merchandising and apparel.

Computer Assistants:
Input and check all entries each kid and heat for the home meets. We need parents in two shifts (Early for 8 and unders & Later for older kids)

Line Up Assistants:
Coordinate with the Head Line-Up and the coaches to make sure all kids are on deck and lined up properly for each heat and event. We need two shifts and one parent for each age/gender group. First shift gets notebooks from Head Line-up. Last shift returns all notebooks to Head Line-up.
