General Information:
Date: Saturday, July 17, 2010. Meet begins at 9:00 am with warm-ups as noted.
Location: Golden West High School. We will run eight lanes with a warm-up/cool-down area at the end of the pool. All teams have designated warm up times. Swimmers will be allowed in the warm-up/cool-down area only for the purpose of warm-up/cool-down once the meet has begun. Failure to follow this rule will result in a loss of privilege.

Rules: All CVRSL and USA Swimming rules will govern the meet. All ages of swimmers will be staged. Prior to the estimated start of their event, swimmers should report to the staging area where they will be lined up for their events. The announcer will be broadcasting the upcoming events over the PA system. Please see site map for location.
Coaches are asked to attend a brief Coaches Meeting on deck at 7:45am. Coaches will receive their meet packet which will include complimentary lunch tickets, programs, deck passes and last minute instructions. Scratches for individual events and changes in relays will be made at the Coaches Meeting.
All Visalia Unified School campuses are designated NON-SMOKING. Drugs, alcohol and weapons of any kind are prohibited anywhere on campus. No glass is allowed.
Missing Events: Any swimmer who has missed their scheduled event will not be allowed to swim their next event, as per CVRSL rules.
Bus/Fire Lane/Access Road – The access road entering off Lovers Lane will be closed to the public. Access will be limited to vendors, officials, unloading and the fire department. It is a one-way street and will be strictly enforced. NO Parking will be permitted along the Fire Lanes. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed at the owners expense.
Parking – Please park in the east parking lot, entering from McAuliff. No vehicles or RV’s will be permitted in tent city. RV’s and Trailers are to pull through taking only two spots in front and in back of each other. All vehicles, RV’s and Trailers not parked correctly will be ticketed and/or towed at the owners expense.
Generators – No generators allowed in tent city or near the main pool area. The best audio system has difficulty in competing with the noise generated by generators and therefore, swimmers are at risk of missing the calls for their events.
Spectator Area – There is a limited amount of bleacher seating. No camping will be allowed in or in front of the bleachers. Therefore, umbrellas, chairs, and ice chests are not allowed in the spectator area. The spectator area is for observing a race only. Please rotate in and out according to your swimmer’s race to allow all spectators to view the race.
Staging – Only those swimmers that have gone through the staging process will be allowed on deck. Please be sure to pay attention to first and second calls in order to move your swimmers to the staging area in a timely fashion. Entry to the staging area will be between the tennis courts and main bleachers. Parents and coaches will not be allowed on deck, with the exception of the relay events for 10 and under, 8 and under, and 6 and under. Coaches will be permitted to insure that their swimmers get on deck in the proper lane and in the proper order, but must stand back before the start of the race and must not coach once on deck.
Coaches – Deck passes and lunch tickets will be given to each team. Coaches will not be permitted in the block area, except as noted above.
Whistle Starts – We will utilize the whistle start for all events. There will be no call for “swimmers place your feet” for the back stroke events. The third whistle will be the signal for the swimmer to return to the wall, place their feet and be prepared for the command “take your mark”.
T-Shirts & Programs – A limited number of T-shirts and programs will be available for purchase at the meet. We strongly recommend that you pre-order these items. Please see forms and instructions in the above link.
Awards: Medals will be given for 1st through 3rd place with ribbons for 4th through 24th place for individual events.
